APPROVED biography

 

Emile Ryjoch, 22, is a multi award-winning saxophonist and clarinettist from Adelaide, Australia. He has performed in many high profile shows with notable artists and ensembles such as the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Michael Feinstein, Kate Ceberano, John Foreman, Em Rusciano, Sven Ratzke, Eddie Perfect, Ali McGregor, Tom Burlinson, Michelle Nicolle, Errol Buddle, James Muller and David Theak.

 

The son of two seasoned professionals in the classical and jazz music scenes, Emile was surrounded by a wide variety of music as he was growing up. When he was 8, he began playing the clarinet and at the age of 14, took up the saxophone. Now 21, Emile is in high demand, working extensively throughout South Australia, both performing and educating.

 

In 2016, Emile was awarded the ‘Top Undergraduate Saxophone Student’ by the Helpmann Academy and the same year, the ‘President’s Award’ from the Southern Jazz Club.

Emile holds a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours from the Elder Conservatorium of Music.
